Former Kansas State Republican Representative Endorses Governor Kelly
Jan Kessinger, a Former Republican Member of the Kansas House of Representatives, Joins Republicans For Kelly
TOPEKA – Governor Laura Kelly today announced Jan Kessinger, former Republican Representative of Kansas’s 20th district, has endorsed Governor Kelly’s 2022 re-election campaign. Kessinger is the latest Republican to endorse Governor Kelly after the coalition “Republicans for Kelly” was announced.
“Governor Kelly has spent her first term working across the aisle to deliver record achievements for Kansans,” Former Representative Jan Kessinger said. “From fully funding our schools to reinvesting in our infrastructure, Governor Kelly has a proven track record of getting things done. She’s consistently brought together lawmakers, regardless of political party, proving she’s the bipartisan Governor we need to rise to the occasion and continue to build on the successes and achievements of the last four years. We cannot afford to go backward.”
“I’m honored to have Jan Kessinger’s support,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “Together, we are building a coalition that will continue to build off of the enormous, bipartisan progress we’ve made these past few years in order to continue delivering a better future in 2022.”
This latest endorsement comes after a long list of republicans endorsed Governor Kelly’s re-election bid including former Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger.
