TOPEKA – Today former Republican National Committeewoman and Kansas Republican State Senate Vice President, Alicia Salisbury, endorsed Governor Laura Kelly in her re-election campaign. Salisbury served as Kansas State Senator for 15 years, during which time was Senate Vice President and later served on the Republican National Committee. Salisbury is the latest Republican to endorse Governor Kelly after the Republicans for Kelly coalition was announced.
“Governor Kelly has led a bipartisan effort to rebuild Kansas and deliver results for families, regardless of political party.” Former Republican National Committeewoman Alicia Salisbury said. “Governor Kelly knows that it’s more important to bring people together to get things done. That’s why she’s been able to accomplish historic economic development success, reinvest in our public schools, and rebuild our roads and bridges. Governor Kelly has proven that she is the bipartisan Governor that we need to build a better future for Kansas.”
“I’m proud to have Senator Salisbury as a member of the team,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “Together, our coalition will build off of the bipartisan achievements that we’ve made over the past three years. Working together, we’re going to deliver even more for Kansas in 2022 and beyond.”
Senator Salisbury joins a long list of Republicans supporting Governor Kelly’s re-election, including Attorney General Robert Stephan who endorsed Governor Kelly’s re-election campaign, former Republican Representative Jan Kessinger and former Republican Kansas Insurance Commissioner, Sandy Praeger.
