TOPEKA – Republican United States Senator from Kansas, Sheila Frahm, endorsed Governor Laura Kelly for re-election. Senator Frahm was appointed by Governor Bill Graves to fill the late Bob Dole’s senate seat in 1996. This latest high-profile Republican endorsement emphasizes Governor Kelly’s middle-of-the-road leadership and her bipartisan support.
“In 2018, I joined an impressive coalition of Republicans who broke party lines to support Governor Kelly. I’m proud to join that coalition once again to support her for re-election,” United States Senator Frahm said. “In 2018, I said that Governor Kelly would bring Kansans together to rebuild our state. I was right. Governor Kelly has been a true bipartisan leader, who has worked tirelessly to deliver results for Kansas. I’m proud to be with her once again as she continues to move Kansas forward.”
“It is an honor to again have the support of Senator Sheila Frahm,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “Just like in 2018, I’m focused on building a better future for all Kansans, regardless of political party. I’m delivering results for Kansans across the state and I’m proud to have Senator Frahm’s support. I know that together, we can continue to build a better future for Kansas.”
Governor Kelly’s campaign continues to build momentum earning broad support from every corner of Kansas, including former Governor Bill Graves, former RNC Committeewoman Alicia Salisbury, former Republican Attorney General Robert Stephan, former Republican Representative Jan Kessinger, former Republican Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger, and over 160 other Kansas Republicans.
