Governor Kelly Campaign Raises Record $3.1 Million Heading Into Re-Election

TOPEKA – Governor Laura Kelly’s campaign today announced a record-setting fundraising haul of over $3.1 million in the final fundraising period before the November 8th election. The latest fundraising report highlights Governor Kelly’s broad, grassroots support with 82% of contributions totaling under $100 and over 95% of contributions coming from individuals. The total raised by the Laura Kelly for Kansas campaign cycle is now over $7.7 million – a record total raised by a gubernatorial candidate in Kansas.

“Governor Kelly’s message is resonating with Kansans across the state who know that she is the proven, steady leader who is getting things done for Kansans,” Campaign Manager Shelbi Dantic said. “Governor Kelly has worked with both parties to fully fund schools, attract over $14 billion in new business investment to the state, cut property and food taxes, and legalized sports betting in Kansas. After the Governor’s steady leadership put Kansas back on track, her fundraising records demonstrate that Kansans are looking forward to her continued, bipartisan leadership.”

Governor Kelly’s first term has led to record-breaking success for Kansas, including:

  • Fully funded schools 4 years in a row;

  • Over $14 billion in new business investment;

  • Over 52,000 new jobs created and retained;

  • Eliminated the food tax, set to save Kansas families hundreds of dollars per year;
