Governor Laura Kelly Endorsed by Over 60 Small Business Owners from Across the State
The coalition over 60 small business owners cite Governor Kelly’s historic economic success and commitment to the business community
TOPEKA – Today a bipartisan group of over 60 small business owners from across the state endorsed Governor Laura Kelly for re-election. Citing her successful leadership in rebuilding Kansas’ economy from the ground up and her commitment to supporting Kansas’ working families, these small business owners have thrown their support behind Governor Laura Kelly for re-election.
“Governor Kelly’s commitment to investing in education, infrastructure, and economic development while cutting taxes for families and small business shows her commitment to growing the economy by focusing on Main Street instead of Wall Street,” Sara Crow, co-owner of Crow & Co. Books in Hutchinson said. “Her work to enable small businesses to drive the economy is keeping our local economies on a much more stable footing and allowing us the opportunity to grow rather than having to tighten our belts.”
“Our small businesses are not just the backbone of our economy, they are a vital part of our communities,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “I’ve made it my priority to build up Kansas’ economy for everyone and these locally owned businesses truly embody the Kansas spirit. I’m honored to have their support and look forward to continuing to support Kansas’ working families.”
Since Governor Kelly took office in 2019, she has created and retained over 43,000 jobs, brought in over $8.7 billion in business investment, and brought home multiple awards for economic achievement including two Gold Shovel awards for economic development and the coveted Governor’s Cup for the most capital investment per capita in the nation. Kansas was also named CNBC’s “Comeback State of the Year” under Governor Kelly’s leadership.
